25/25 Glasgow IV - Flight A - Level 5 (200/400/50)

by MARTIN J SMITH on 16th July 2015 @ 22:01

22:41: There are reports of straddling on Table 5. Ok, well blind raises under the gun to be more precise. Sounds like Maj Iqbal and Makka Hussain are the ones doing it. Maj is in the BB now and says that he'll make it all back this hand though. Thomas Ward opens in the Hijack and Chris Wilson 3bets to 2,300 in the Cut-off. Maj comes along from the BB and Thomas calls too. 3-way to the Flop which is AdJs2s. Everyone checks! Turn 8h. Maj checks, Thomas bets 3.7k (with about 11k behind). Chris folds but Maj shoves in enough 5k chips to cover Thomas. He quickly folds and Maj makes a tidy profit.

22:33: Willie Cheung checking himself out on the blog...

22:30: Merchant City regular Albert Grenfell out. His short stack KJ all in pre-flop vs Chris Wilson's AK couldn't get there.

22:22: The latest seating. 44 left from 54.

22:18: Jim Kynoch out. All in on the Turn with AQ vs AK and he was out-kicked.

22:17: If you are using Twitter please tweet some nonsense using #2525glasgow. An update on how you're getting on wouldn't be bad either.

22:16: Edinburgh leg Champ Colin Gillon out for a second time and his chips go to Paul Fallon for a second time as well!

22:12: Alistar Goodall and John "The Guvnor" Stirling on Table 3:

22:10: David Cheung, a regular at Grosvenor Maybury Casino in Edinburgh, on Table 3.

22:09: Albert Grenfell and Thomas Ward on Table 5:

22:07: Maj Iqbal. He's made a few live FTs recently but hasn't been able to close the deal. He'll be hoping to change that this weekend here at 25/25 Glasgow.

22:05: Alan Brown on Table 4. He won another £100 entry tournament in Glasgow last month for £5k.

22:04: There's only one Willie Cheung:

22:02: Martin Gallagher out. All in pre-flop with KJ vs Kenny McMaihin's AJ which held up. Down to 46 now.
